Jake

Jake's Story:

This is Jake, a beautiful 4 month old male yellow lab puppy who is blind in both eyes and looking for a loving home to call his own. Jake is a sweet, loving and outgoing boy despite his condition. Being blind is pretty much all he's ever known and he is adapting well. We are not exactly sure why Jake went blind. One vet thinks it might be genetic or possibly malnourishment as tiny pup or even before he was born. Another thinks it is more likely that it was due to contracting a virus prior to getting all his puppy shots. We will never really know. What we do know is that he is now up to date on shots and completely healthy, and his eyes have been removed and sewn shut. Jake is in foster care in Tennessee currently, but he will be arriving in New Hampshire on 12/3/8 and going into foster care. Jake will need a very special home, one that will work with him and train him in ways that he will be able to understand.
